Reading

Jesus noticed that the apostles were physically tired and took them to a deserted place to rest. However, the crowd followed and the apostles continued to teach. Many times we feel tired, but God still calls us to act. When have you felt physically tired or exhausted but still felt God's call to act, such as talking to a friend in need, serving others in the community, or even taking time out to pray? How did you continue with God's calling even though you were tired?

Questions

"Compassion"

Jesus continued to teach the crowd because of His compassion for them. The crowd depended on Jesus' teachings and He saw this need in them. During times of struggle, or even through daily life, how have you relied on Jesus for guidance, strength, or comfort? If not, why was it difficult to depend on Him?

"Longing for Jesus"

The crowd had an authentic desire to continue hearing Jesus' teachings, they had a desire to grow closer to God. How is your longing to grow closer to God similar to the crowd's? What struggles or temptations have you encountered in this journey?

"Sheep without a Shepherd"

Jesus saw the crowd as sheep without a shepherd as they returned to Him, He knew the people needed guidance. How do you feel your friends, family, or Hat Cai have helped you grow in your faith and relationship with God?
