Welcome

Welcome to Hat Cai, also known as Mustard Seeds. We are a Catholic Vietnamese prayer and support group at UC Irvine.

Hat Cai is founded on Ignatian spirituality, which centers on the imitation of Christ - focusing on how to follow Jesus' life of prayer and how best to live as an authentic human creation of God. In addition to nurturing our spirituality, Hat Cai hosts various social events for members to have fun and build lasting friendships. Hat Cai also hosts various service projects throughout the year for members to play an active role in helping others in their communities.

Feel free to learn about our group, look into our meetings or events, and visit our gallery.

We meet on Monday nights at 7:00PM in Interfaith (Bldg. 319 view map) on the UCI main campus.

A Servant for God / Jennie Li & Kevin Nguyen

Week 9 / Monday, May 25, 2009

How do we serve God? There are multiple ways in which we can serve God: through ministry, volunteering, abiding by his commandments, etc. However, there is one particular way in which we can directly serve him: reaching out to each other. God wants us to treat each other with the utmost kindness and love. What we do for others, we do for God because he lives within us all. Jesus once said, “As you have done unto the least of these, so have you done unto me” Matt. 25:40.
